Draa valley Walking and Morocco desert trek 8Days

Exploring the Sahara world, enjoying the sunrise on the sand dunes, relaxing in the beautiful oasis of Draa valley or even more visiting old villages are the mains attractions in this Morocco desert trip. Walking is another way to have authentic experiences and to change touristy destinations. Hiking along of Draa valley offers the opportunity to be in touch with Sahara and its magical life as well as the excellent area surrounded by beautiful hills covered by small farms in additional to traditional villages sprung alongside lash oasis.

Day 1 Marrakesh

Reception at the Menara airport’s and Transfer to hotel or riad.

Day 2 : Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Zagora - Nesrat

early departure to Ouarzazate via the hight Atlas mountains (pass of Tizi n'Tichka 2260m). Then we will be joyning the subsaharien landscapes which welcome you to the dry part of Morocco before arriving at Draa valley. crossing the mountain of Saghro at Tinififite pass(1660 m) to reach Agdez, the village where The windy road takes use trough nice villages and palm groves until Zagora. Meeting our local camel team to start our short walk 1h and 30min before our first camp. 1h 30min walk, Overnight camping at the foot of the dunes .

Day 3 : Dunes Nasrate - Sidi Salah Tidri

We pass Nasrate dunes and a large plateau, before arriving at the oasis and the village of Sidi Salah. Lunch at the village exit. In the afternoon we will walk through the dunes till we get to our campsite. 5 h 30 walks, Overnight camping .

Day 4 : Tidri - Dunes Erg Sahel

To discover the beautiful site of tumulus Larjam evidence of the occupation of this region by man, and are the first in the region. turning south, where the route alternate furrows Saharian dunes and large spaces. Installing the campsite in the dunes of Erg Sahel. lunch at the campsite. * 5 h / 5 h 30 walks. Overnight camping.

Day 5 : Sahel Dunes - Erg Lahniti

We leave the dunes of Erg Sahel full course west for a nice step in a Saharian universe, crossing open spaces dotted with residues of old pottery, arriving at the dunes of Erg Lahniti lunch on the way to the camp. * 5h 30mn walking. Overnight camping.

Day 6 : Erg Lahniti - Oulad Driss

We cross the dunes of Lahniti and Daraa to join the largest palm grove of Oulad Driss, lunch at the campsite. In the afternoon short tour riding camel. * 4h walking. Overnight camping.

Day 7 : Oulad driss - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After our breakfast we puck up our luggage and take the transport driving back same way to Marrakech, lunch on the way.

Day 8 : Hotel – Airport

Transfer to the airport, « End of our services. »
